2.7-day money-back guarantee
If you’re not happy with a new shared hosting, WordPress, reseller or VPS plan, ask for a refund within 7 days of your first payment for it and we’ll refund that payment in full, including the GST charged on it. You don’t have to give a reason — though we’re always glad to hear one.
The 7 days run from the date of the first payment for that service. Once refunded, the service is cancelled and its files, databases and email are deleted, so download anything you want to keep before you ask.
If your plan came with a free domain and we have already registered it for you, the domain stays registered in your name for the period it was registered for, and its standard first-year registration price is deducted from the refund.
3.Domain names
Domain registrations, renewals and restorations are non-refundable once the registry has processed them — the registry charges us at that moment and doesn’t return the fee. This applies within the 7-day window too.
If a registration can’t be completed — for example the name was taken before the registry confirmed it, or the registry rejects it — we refund what you paid for it in full.
4.Domain transfers
If a transfer to us fails, is rejected by your current registrar, or is cancelled before it completes, we refund the transfer fee in full. Once a transfer completes, the fee — which pays for the year added to your registration — is non-refundable. See how transfers work.
5.What isn't covered
- Renewal payments for a service you already have.
- Requests made more than 7 days after the first payment for a service.
- Domain fees, as described above.
- Services we suspend or terminate for breaking our acceptable use rules — for example spam, malware, phishing or fraud.
6.Cancelling a service
You can cancel any service at any time by opening a support ticket. Cancelling stops it from renewing. Outside the money-back window, the unused part of a term that has already started isn’t refunded.
7.How to ask for a refund
Open a ticket in the Billing department from your dashboard, or email info@hostracer.in from the address on your account. Include the invoice number and the service you want refunded. A request counts from the day we receive it, so one sent on day 7 is in time even if we reply later.
8.How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are paid back to the original payment method through Razorpay — the same card, UPI account, bank account or wallet you paid with. We start the refund within 7 working days of approving it; your bank may then take a further 5–7 working days to show it. GST charged on a refunded amount is refunded with it.
9.Disputes and chargebacks
If something looks wrong with a charge, please contact us before raising a dispute with your bank — it’s almost always faster. While a chargeback is open, we may suspend the service it relates to.
